Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)

We are accredited distributors for various UPS Systems from 1000VA through to 800kVA, all IEC certified and fully compliant for use with healthcare equipment. Our UPS service includes supply, installation and 24/7 after sales service. We are also able to service your existing UPS installed base, including battery testing and replacement as required.

Power Distribution

We manufacture, supply and install power distribution boards built to your specification and standards.

All components used conform to stringent IEC standards and the distribution boards are comprehensively tested before delivery or installation. Our boards are suitable for all clinical environments and our installations are certified with the requisite Certificate of Compliance (CoC).

Project Management

UIM offers a comprehensive project management service whether your contract is based on FIDIC, NEC or is a regular contract. We will manage all aspects of your project, from inception to sign off. Our project managers can also be hired as consultants to ensure your contracts are legally sound and fair.

Radiology Site Readiness Evaluation

Allow  our  experienced  teams  to  carry  out  your  pre-installation  site  inspections as  per  your  unique requirements. Our services include:

  • Determining correct access for equipment delivery
  •  Confirming readiness of the final room to accept equipment, including air conditioning, chiller etc.
  • Power and Grounding tests
  • RF attenuation tests (IEEE 299/2006 Standard)
  • Vibration tests.

We strongly believe that every MRI site should be evaluated for electromagnetic interference (EMI) and vibration  prior  to  finalisation  of  that  site.  This  is  especially  important  due  to  many  more  sources  of unwanted  RF  being  erected  every  day.  This  will  help  ensure  your  RF  cage  is  correctly  specified  upon ordering.

Building and building alterations

Our construction team will undertake any building alteration project, whether it be a simple dry partition or building a complete department. We ensure full compliance with all building codes as well as constructing radiation protection and magnetic screening as required. This includes rooms for MRI, CT and X-ray, built to OEM specifications.

Architectural Concept and Design

Working closely with your clients and utilising professional architects and draughtsmen, we will assist in planning individual rooms or complete departments. This includes taking into account delivery access routes, addressing moving metal concerns in the case of MRI, mitigating magnetic and RF interference to adjacent departments, ensuring adequate floor load carrying capacity and specifying correct electrical supply.

Installation Services

Allow UIM Clinical Solutions to take the pain out of your delivery and installation process. We provide a wing-to-wing Mechanical and Electrical installation solution for radiology and other clinical equipment into your customer’s site, handing you equipment ready for final calibration and customer hand-over.

This service includes:

  • Arranging and managing transport to site including rigging of equipment into place;
  • Mechanical installation of equipment;
  • Connecting all interconnecting cables including power supply
